Centro Maya de Idiomas - A partnership of two indigenous and cooperatively owned Spanish and Maya language immersion schools in the towns of Quetzaltenango and Todos Santos Cuchumat‡n, Guatemala, that each offer 25 hours per week of individual language instruction, homestay with local family, community service projects, seminars on cultural and social issues, and field trips to nearby sites of scenic and cultural interest. Weaving instruction is also offered at the school at Todos Santos.

The Maya Calendar - A site designed by the Yucatan's Maya World Studies Center with information on the Mayan calendar and mathematics as well as tour opportunities in the area.

Rituals of the Modern Maya - An article from Archaeology magazine which argues for "a strong undercurrent of Precolumbian belief" in religious practices among modern Maya.

Maya Civilization: Past and Present - Iincludes pages on traditional stories, the language, numbers and maps of ancient city sites. Also includes information on a video-disk program for teaching about the Maya in the middle school science curriculum.

Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies, Inc. - A very extensive site including a searchable bibliography and a database of over 1000 rollout photographs of ancient Mayan vases. The site is soon to add an archive of drawings related to the area.

Mayan Folktales - Five folktales told to Fernando Pe–alosa by don Pedro Miguel Say, a famous Q'anjob'al storyteller from San Miguel Ac‡tan, Huehuetenango, Guatemala, who now lives in Los Angeles, California. Each month new folktales will be added.

The World of Mayan Culture - A site which includes information on travel to the area, historical background on ancient Mayan civilizations and information on modern-day Mayan society.

Maya Art Pages - An extensive on-line collection of Mayan painting and sculpture from 400-800 A.D. It contains 130 roll out photographs of Maya vases and a photographic journey through the Mayan site of Copan. located in Honduras.

Jaguar Sun - A site set up by Jeeni Criscenzo, the author of a historical novel about the ancient Maya which presents some of the background materials used in writing the book. Although still under construction, it promises to be a useful site.

Maya Adventure - The Science Museum of Minnesota's site that highlights science activities and information related to ancient and modern Maya culture. It includes images from the museum's anthropological collections and activities developed by the museum's education division.

Los Loros: A Mayan Jungle Community - An extensive site with an on-line museum of Pre-Columbian Mayan artifacts, a gift shop of local crafts, and a section for kids to get a penpal or set up an e-mail exchange with kids from this small village in Gautemala
